Anne Sebba is a biographer, journalist and former Reuters correspondent. She is a trustee of two charities, English PEN and YaD, involved in international human rights and cultural matters. In 2007, she was a judge for the HH Wingate/Jewish Quarterly Awards for fiction and non-fiction as well as the Society of Authors Imison Award for the best original radio drama script by a writer new to radio.

Her books include Enid Bagnold: A Life (1986), Laura Ashley: A Life By Design (1990), Battling for News: The Rise of the Woman Reporter (1993), Mother Teresa: Beyond the Image (1998), The Exiled Collector: William Bankes and the Making of an English Country House (2004). Jennie Churchill, Winston’s American Mother was published in 2007 by John Murray in UK and WW Norton in the US. Her latest book is That Woman: The Life of Wallis Simpson (Weidenfeld & Nicolson, August 2011).
