The Cut Out Girl: A Story of War and Family, Lost and Found is the powerful, harrowing, but also ultimately uplifting story about a young girl’s struggle to survive Nazi persecution, and a man’s attempt to unravel his family secrets. As well as winning the Slightly Foxed prize, The Cut Out Girl was Costa Book of the Year 2018. Bart van Es will be in conversation with Rachel Cooke, journalist and author as well as a judge of the SF award.

This is the first of an event series hosted by Hatchards with Slightly Foxed and the Biographers’ Club.
