Francis Beckett’s most recent book is What Did the baby Boomers Ever Do For Us? – How the Children of the Sixties Lived the Dream and Failed the Future (Biteback, 2010). His sixteen books include biographies of four Prime Ministers – Attlee, Macmillan, Blair and Brown – as well as short biographies of Aneurin Bevan and Laurence Olivier. He is an author, journalist and playwright, and he won the 2010 Education Journalism Lifetime Achievement award.
